What are our students learning this week? #Week1_3DGenerativeCourse

Interpret FEA simulation results

By The 3D Printing Bootcamp.com

Each week, and for the next 4 months, we will share with you what our students are learning.

If you are a professional in engineering, design, manufacturing, architecture or simply passionate about this subject…

Join our students on their journey to become specialists in Topology Optimization, Lattice Structures and Generative Design!

And see how they apply these principles to improve designs, reduce costs, generate new business models, lower weight and lead time, and improve mechanical and thermal performance.

Week 1 - 3D Generative Design Course:

Our students will become specialists in Topology Optimization, Lattice Structures and Generative Design in 4 months.

But the first skill they learn in depth is Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Why?

Only if they know how to interpret FEA simulation results, they will be able to use a simulation-driven approach to optimize any industrial component.

What does that exactly mean?

We want our students to iterate always based on simulation results.

And in this way…

Optimize mechanical and thermal components (but without compromising component performance).

Predicting how an optimized industrial component will behave before physical prototypes are built.

This is the goal for this week.

Our students are learning all about Mechanical Stress, Safety Factor, Displacement, Strain, Elongation at Break, Buckling and Fatigue.

These skills will allow our students to make informed decisions and optimize designs effectively.

Enough for the first week.
